Why Troop 478

We Meet Outside. Scouts gather at our Scout Hut behind Spring Branch Presbyterian Church around a real fire pit, under real trees, in real weather. Not a gymnasium. Not a cafeteria. Outside, the way Scouting was meant to be.

Every Family is Welcome. Dads, Moms and families of all kinds are part of this troop. Show up however you can. Some parents camp with us every month, some drop their Scout off and trust the process. Both are exactly right. If you ever want to get more involved, there’s always a place for you. No experience required!

Every Boy Belongs. Troop 478 is Scout-led and built for boys at every stage of development. Advancement is not a race. We meet each Scout where he is, support him as he grows, and celebrate progress over perfection.

SEE WHAT WE'VE BEEN UP TO

Troop 478 has been continuously chartered to the Spring Branch Presbyterian Church since 1952. In that time, we have awarded the rank of Eagle Scout to 400+ young men.

Troop meetings are held Monday evenings during the school year from 7:00 to 8:00 PM at the Scout Hut behind
